750 YOUTH SWIMMERS TO COMPETE IN ROSEVILLE AT ANNUAL HALLOWEEN-THEMED EVENT
California Capital Aquatics (CCA) is teaming up with Placer Valley Tourism to host their annual Halloween-themed Spook-Tacular Swim Meet in Roseville. This three-day event will take place Friday, Oct. 4 through Sunday, Oct. 6 and showcase youth swimmers ages 6 through 18-years-old.
CCA President Tricia Strub explained that this meet is typically one of the first meets offered at the start of the short-course swim season, "It's always fun having new swimmers and families experience Spook-Tacular as their first USA Swimming meet at the Roseville Aquatics Complex!"
"We are anticipating over 750 swimmers from over 30 different teams," added Strub. "It's such a fun, festive meet and this year all the USA Swimming officials serving are encouraged to wear pink on Saturday, Oct. 5 to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month!"
Races will start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 and use a split-session format. The morning sessions will start at 8:30 a.m. for the 13 and over age groups and then the meet will resume an hour after that session is completed for the 12 and under swimmers on both Saturday and Sunday.
There is no admission fee and Dave's Dawgs will be on deck for your snack bar needs. Come on down to 3051 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd in Roseville to watch these young, speedy swimmers race the clock!
